Every year in early August, Aregno opens its doors to lovers of authentic flavors and local traditions with "La foire de l'amandier". Organized by the Foyer rural d'Aregno, this rural, agricultural and craft fair celebrates almonds in all their forms, offering visitors a complete immersion in the world of this emblematic local fruit.
The history of this fair dates back to 1977, when a group of passionate volunteers decided to promote the almond tree and its many facets through culture, art, music and gastronomy. The idea of creating a fair dedicated to the almond tree took shape and became a reality in August 1997, with the first edition of "A Fiera di l'Amandulu". Since then, every first weekend in August, Aregno has become a veritable almond sanctuary, welcoming visitors to discover and taste products derived from this emblematic fruit.
Although almonds take pride of place, the fair is not limited to this single product. Over the years, other agricultural and craft sectors have joined in, making "A Fiera di l'Amandulu" a key event in the promotion of all Balagne know-how.
A wide range of activities awaits visitors to the fair: exhibitions, conferences, workshops and culinary demonstrations showcasing almond-based products, games, entertainment for children and concerts to liven up summer evenings. An on-site catering service also enables visitors to sample local specialities prepared with passion and expertise.
The Almond Fair in Aregno is the ideal opportunity to discover the riches of the Balagne region, meet local producers, taste quality artisanal products and share convivial moments with family and friends. Join us from Friday August 2 to Sunday August 4, 2024 for an authentic gourmet experience in the heart of Balagne.
