Chants Polyphoniques: 16-20 September 2025 In the heart of Calvi, in an exceptional setting where the sea meets the mountains, the spellbinding magic of Corsican polyphony has been resonating for decades. The Chants Polyphoniques de Calvi celebrate this ancestral vocal heritage that transcends borders and moves hearts.
This event, born of a humble encounter in 1989 between the A Filetta group and Su Cuncordu e Tenore de Orosei, symbolizes the alliance between Corsican singers and a local cultural association. This union gave birth to the Rencontres de Chants Polyphoniques, an annual event dedicated to the diversity of voices and languages of the world.
Over the years, the festival has opened up to artists from the four corners of the globe, welcoming Bulgarians, Georgians, Amerindians, Inuits, Tibetans, Africans, Indonesians and many others. Through this diversity
the expression of humanity in all its richness and depth.
From Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 September 2025, Calvi will vibrate to the rhythm of polyphonic song, on a journey to the heart of cultures and traditions. More than just a festival, Les Chants Polyphoniques de Calvi is an ode to the huMayne voice, its authentic nakedness
and its ability to transcend barriers.
